Students Recognized for Displaying Tolerance

Nodaway-Holt Elementary students are recognized each month for displaying the character trait of the month.  Students are acknowledged by their teacher and receive a certificate for making good choices throughout the month.  Congratulations to the these students for displaying high levels of TOLERANCE throughout the month of January.

High School Makes Changes to Extended Learning

The Nodaway-Holt High School has made the decision to amend the current Extended Learning procedure to now allow juniors and seniors the freedom to choose whether or not to attend. Juniors and seniors will still be placed on Extended Learning for missing assignments and poor quality assignments (receiving under a 65% on the assignment), and contact will still be made to guardians (either through email or by phone), just like with the old . . .

Spartans Honor Athletes

On Monday, February 3, the Spartans held their Fall Athletic Banquet at the TJ Hall building in Oregon. The night started out with a potluck dinner followed by the honoring of our student athletes. Being honored that night, were both the fall cheerleaders and football players. Board of Education Approves Weighted Grading System Change

On Wednesday, January, 15 the Board of Education approved amendments to policy IKA-R-1 dealing with the Weighted Grading System. At Nodaway-Holt R-VII School District, we prepare our graduates for college, career and citizenship. JH/HS Winter Program

On Monday, December 16 the Nodaway-Holt Jr. & Sr. High had their Winter Program. The Program consisted of 24 different songs comprising of both band and vocal solos, duets, whole band, whole choir, and a mixture of the band and choir together. 8th Grade Science Makes Their Own Toothpaste

The 8th grade students recently made their own toothpastes in science class to put their understanding of minerals and scientific inquiry into practice.
