Job Description:
The Nodaway-Holt R-VII School District is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as the District Health Coordinator. This position has full benefits.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed Registered Nurse
- Current certification in CPR
- Ability to comply with the code of ethics of the nursing profession and to uphold and implement school rules, state laws, administrative regulations and board policies
- Ability to provide leadership in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive school health program
Preferred Qualifications:
- Nursing experience with adolescents and related issues
- Registered Nurse
- AED certification
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRABLE CANDIDATES SHOULD POSSESS
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing which incorporates pharmacology courses into the curriculum.
- Maintenance of a professional licensure, in good standing, with Missouri State Board of Nursing.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
- Document pertinent information in student charts and in other designated places of record.
- Administer first aid and emergency first aid to students, and, when warranted and in keeping with guidelines, to staff.
- Dispense medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
- Apply knowledge of medication dosage, side effects, etc.
- Record medications/treatments in keeping with established procedures.
- Ensure the district is in compliance with state and local laws and policies.
- Oversee the medical services for K-12 students.
- Strong communication skills with students, parents, community health services, and staff.
- Exceptional organization skills needed.
